(Caution: 1998 Prop. 105 applies) All or any portion of the earned paid sick time requirements of this article shall not apply to employees covered by a valid collective bargaining agreement, to the extent that such requirements are expressly waived in the collective bargaining agreement in clear and unambiguous terms. No provisions of article 8.1 shall apply to employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement in effect on the effective date of this act until the stated expiration date in the collective bargaining agreement.
