§ 20-492 — Definitions

In this article, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. "Corporate governance annual disclosure" or "CGAD" means a confidential report that is filed by the insurer or insurance group and that is made in accordance with the requirements of this article. 2. "Insurance group" means those insurers and affiliates included within an insurance holding company system as defined in section 20-481. 3. "Insurer":
(a)Means a domestic insurer as defined in section 20-203.
(b)Does not include:
(i)An agency, authority or instrumentality of the United States and its possessions and territories, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or the District of Columbia.
(ii)A state.
(iii)A political subdivision of a state.
