Text

A. On July 1 of each year, the director shall grant a certificate of exemption to any insurer, employee benefit trust or voluntary employees' beneficiary association transacting life insurance, disability insurance or annuity business, or providing other health or welfare benefits, under the laws of its domicile that: 1. Is organized and operated without profit to any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation or other entity. 2. Is organized and operated exclusively for either of the following purposes:

(a)Aiding educational or scientific institutions that are also organized and operated without profit to any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation or other entity.
(b)Aiding agricultural institutions if the grantee is subject to regulation either as an insurer,
