§ 20-262 — Motor vehicle insurance policy; reduction of rate for older person completing accident prevention course; course requirements

A. An insurer issuing motor vehicle liability insurance policies in this state may provide additional reductions in rates for motor vehicle personal injury and property damage coverage to an insured who: 1. Is at least fifty-five years of age. 2. Within the last three years has successfully completed a driver improvement course:

(a)That is approved by the department of transportation, motor vehicle division.
(b)That includes classroom instruction or practice driving of at least the minimum number of hours that the director of the department of transportation requires.
(c)Which is not self-instructed and provides actual classroom or field driving instruction for the minimum number of hours required by the department of transportation.
(d)For which the insured has received a certif
