Text

A.Any person of competent legal capacity may contract for insurance.
B.A minor who is at least fifteen years of age as of the minor's nearest birthday may contract, notwithstanding the minor's minority, for life or disability insurance on the minor's own life or body, for the minor's own benefit or for the benefit of the minor's father or mother, spouse, child, brother, sister or grandparents.
C.A minor who is at least sixteen years of age as of the minor's nearest birthday, who is a foster child as defined in section 8-501 or a youth participating in the independent living program pursuant to section 8-521 and who has completed a driver education program may contract, notwithstanding the minor's minority, for motor vehicle liability insurance that satisfies the requirements of sectio
