A.When a child is reported missing by a parent or guardian, the law enforcement agency receiving the report shall notify as soon as is appropriate the school the child was attending, if any, or the county school superintendent if the child was being instructed at home. The notification shall include all of the following:
1.The missing child's name.
2.The missing child's date of birth.
3.The missing child's county and state of birth.
4.The missing child's social security number, if any.
5.The physical description of the missing child.
B.When a school is notified pursuant to subsection A that a child is missing, the school shall flag the records of the child. If a copy of or information regarding the records is requested the school shall immediately report the request concerning
