(a)(1) The Division of Agriculture of the University of Arkansas, a state-supported institution of higher education, includes the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.

(2)The mission of the division is to provide research and extension on all aspects of agriculture, food, youth, families, and communities.

(3)The division is encouraged to cooperate with:

(A)The United States Department of Agriculture as a specially designated land grant institution of higher education;

(B)Other federal, state, and international agencies;

(C)Communities and school districts in the state; and (D) Rural, urban, and agricultural stakeholders throughout the state.

(4)Any federal, state, county, or municipal funds appropriated to the division

(a) (1) The Division of Agriculture of the University of Arkansas, a state-supported institution of higher education, includes the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. (b) The purpose of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station is to develop and advance scientific knowledge through basic and applied research regarding: (1) Food; (2) Fiber; (3) Feed; (4) Agribusiness; (5) Bioenergy issues; and (6) Other programmatic areas that are established by the division. (c) The purpose of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service is to advance and disseminate scientific knowledge regarding: (1) Agriculture; (2) The environment; (3) Human health and well-being; (4) Communities; and (5) Other programmatic areas that are established by the division.
