Text

(a)Any school district or any board of directors thereof may:
(1)Operate such a program independently or cooperate in its conduct with any other public corporation, board, or body in any manner in which they mutually agree; or (2) Delegate the operation of the program to a recreation board created by one (1) or more of them, and appropriate money voted for this purpose to that board.
(b)(1) The right of a school district to enter into such agreements with any other public corporation, board, or body, or the right to delegate power to a board for operating a program of recreation, shall be authorized only by a majority vote cast at an annual school election.
(2)However, state aid shall not be used for recreational purposes as provided in this subchapter.
