(a)In order to prepare public school students in the State of Arkansas for successful participation in a growing knowledge-based economy and technology-rich world and to improve student achievement, the public school curriculum must integrate technology into the educational process.
(b)(1) (A) In order to further the intent of this section, the Division of Science and Technology of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, with the advice of the Board of Directors of the Division of Science and Technology of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, shall develop a knowledge-based technology curriculum for use in grades seven through twelve (7-12).
