Text
(a)This section shall be known and may be cited as the "Patriotic Access to Students in Schools Act".
(b)As used in this section, "patriotic society" means any youth group listed in Title 36 of the United States Code, as it existed on January 1, 2017.
(c)(1) Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, the principal of a public school shall allow during school hours representatives of a patriotic society the opportunity to:
(A)Speak with and recruit students to participate in the patriotic society; and (B) Inform the students of how the patriotic society may further the students' educational interests and civic involvement to better the students' schools and communities and themselves.
