Text

(a)The Lieutenant Governor may hire and employ in the manner described under this section security personnel to maintain peaceful order and provide protection to the Lieutenant Governor as the Lieutenant Governor carries out his or her official duties.
(b)(1) Personnel designated by the Lieutenant Governor as security personnel are considered full-time law enforcement officers with the full range of responsibilities and authority as are afforded to a law enforcement officer certified by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
(2)The Lieutenant Governor may set his or her own training and qualification standards for security personnel employed by the Lieutenant Governor.
(3)The commission shall permit security personnel employed by the Lieutenant Governor acce
