Text
(a)With the assistance of the Office of Personnel Management, the Division of Youth Services shall promulgate rules to increase the education requirements for youth service workers and security officers employed by the division. If the services are under contract with the division, the employees of the contractor shall meet the education requirements promulgated by the division.
(b)No rule pertaining to education requirements for youth service workers or security officers promulgated hereafter by the division shall be effective until reviewed by the Legislative Council, the House Committee on Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs, and the Senate Interim Committee on Children and Youth or appropriate subcommittees thereof of the General Assembly.
