Text

(a)The Governor shall from time to time select from the membership of the Arkansas Racing Commission a chair and a vice chair.
(b)(1) The Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration shall be ex officio director of the commission unless the Governor shall designate another person from the Revenue Division of the Department of Finance and Administration to serve in that capacity, but the Director of the Arkansas Racing Commission shall not be a member of the commission nor shall he or she have a vote on matters coming before it.
(2)The Director of the Arkansas Racing Commission shall be the commission's executive officer and shall administer the provisions of this chapter and the rules and orders established under this chapter.
