Text
(a)When any railroad company or corporation doing business within the limits of this state receives and ships any livestock or poultry by the carload, the company or corporation, in consideration of the price paid for the car, shall pass the shipper or his or her employee to and from the point designated in the contract or bill of lading without further expense to the shipper.
(b)Any railroad company or corporation or officer, agent, or employee of any railroad company or corporation failing to comply with this section is guilty of a violation and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) for each offense.
