Text

A commercial plant at which livestock or poultry are slaughtered or meat or meat food products are processed for human consumption shall be exempted by the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture from the inspection provisions of this subchapter if the secretary finds that the commercial plant is subject to federal inspection or other approved inspection.
