§ 20-60-214 — Prohibited acts

The following acts or the causing of the following acts within this state is prohibited:

(1)The processing, the sale or offering for sale, transportation, or delivery or receiving for transportation, in intrastate commerce, of any livestock carcass, part of a livestock carcass, or meat food product unless:
(A)The livestock carcass, part of a livestock carcass, or meat food product has been inspected for wholesomeness; and (B) The livestock carcass, part of a livestock carcass, or meat food product and the shipping container of the livestock carcass, part of a livestock carcass, or meat food product and immediate container, if any, are marked in accordance with the requirements of this subchapter or the Federal Meat Inspection Act, 21 U.S.C. § 601 et seq., as in effect on January 1, 2021;
