Text

As used in this subchapter:

(1)(A) "Abatement" means any measures or set of measures that results in the permanent elimination of lead-based paint hazards.
(B)"Abatement" includes without limitation:
(i)The removal of lead-based paint and lead-contaminated dust;
(ii)The permanent enclosure or encapsulation of lead-based paint;
(iii)The replacement of lead-painted surfaces or fixtures;
(iv)The removal or covering of soil contaminated with lead from lead-based paint activities or lead-contaminated paint that has deteriorated; and (v) All preparation, cleanup, disposal, and post-abatement clearance testing activities associated with activities listed in subdivisions (1)(B)(i)-
(iv)of this section.
(C)Specifically, "abatement" includes without limitation:
(i)Projects for which there is
