Text
(a)The State Electronic Product Control Agency may:
(1)Require registration or licensing for the manufacture, distribution, installation, repair, and use of electronic products or component parts of such products and for which rules have been promulgated as specified in § 20-21-306(d)(2) ; and (2) Exempt certain electronic products from the licensing or registration requirements set forth in this section when the agency makes a determination that the exemption of the electronic products or kinds of uses or users of the products will not constitute a significant risk to the health and safety of the public.
(b)Rules promulgated pursuant to this subchapter may provide for recognition of other state or federal licenses as the agency may deem desirable, subject to such registration requireme
