§ 20-18-306 — Fees for certified copies

(a)Except as provided in subsections (b) and (c) of this section, all fees for certified copies of vital records or vital reports under this chapter are listed in § 20-7-123 .
(b)(1) Certified copies of the records shall be furnished to veterans or their dependents without costs when the Department of Veterans Affairs requires certified copies of the records.
(2)Any veteran or his or her dependents shall make application and shall execute an unnotarized affidavit that he or she is a veteran or a dependent of a veteran in order to obtain the free certified copy of any vital record.
(3)Any person who falsely or fraudulently makes an application and unnotarized affidavit that he or she is a veteran or a dependent of a veteran when the person is not a veteran or a dependent of a veteran sh
