As used in this subchapter:

(1)"Accreditation body" means a body that has been approved by the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services to accredit mammography facilities under the federal Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992, Pub. L. No. 102-539 ( 21 C.F.R. Part 900 );
(2)"Diagnostic mammography" means a problem-solving radiologic procedure of higher intensity than screening mammography provided to a woman who is suspected of having breast pathology. A patient is usually referred for analysis of palpable abnormalities or for further evaluation of mammographically detected abnormalities.
