Text

The General Assembly finds and declares that:

(1)Certain long-term care facilities claim to provide special care units and services for persons who have Alzheimer's disease or related dementia;
(2)It is in the public interest to provide for the protection of consumers regarding the accuracy and authenticity of the claims; and (3) The provisions of this subchapter are intended to require such facilities to actually provide the care that they claim to offer, to require records of the claims to be kept, and to require the appropriate state licensing agency to examine their performance and provide penalties as the agency deems appropriate.
