Text
(a)A vacancy that occurs after a municipal board is organized shall be filled by the city or town council.
(b)If a position on the board is vacant because of a resignation, death, removal under § 14-88-305 , refusal to act, or negligence, a new member shall be appointed by the city or town council, if a petition under § 14-88-304(b)(1) is filed.
