§ 14-72-603 — Definitions

As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) "Bonds" means any evidence of indebtedness of a county or municipality issued pursuant to laws in effect authorizing the issuance of bonds, notes, certificates, or other instruments or evidences of indebtedness; (2) "Clerk" means the clerk or recorder of a municipality or county clerk of a county; (3) "County" or "municipality" also mean any agency, board, commission, or instrumentality of a county or municipality; (4) "Legislative body" means the quorum court of a county or the council, board of directors, or other elected governing body of a municipality; (5) "Municipality" means any city or incorporated town; (6) "Ordinance" means an ordinance, resolution, or other appropriate legislative enactment of a legislative body; (7) "Revenue bonds" means all bonds the repayment of which are secured by the pledge of rents, user fees, charges, or other revenues, other than assessments for local improvements and taxes, derived from the project or improvements financed in whole or in part by such revenue bonds, from the operations of any governmental unit, or from any other special fund or source.
