§ 14-47-132 — Vacancy on municipal board, etc

(a) Any vacancy on any municipal board or commission of any city of the first class having a population of fewer than fifty thousand (50,000) and having a city manager form of government shall be filled by a majority vote of the board of directors of the city or by the mayor, if the mayor has appointment power pursuant to § 14-47-108(a)(2)(E) . (b) (1) The provisions of this section shall apply to all existing boards and commissions and to all boards and commissions hereafter established in which vacancies are filled by the remaining members of the board or commission or by the city manager. (2) The provisions of this section shall not be applicable to any Arkansas city which is divided by a state line from an incorporated city or town in an adjoining state.
