Text

Municipalities are authorized and empowered to acquire, by purchase or exercise of eminent domain:

(1)Sites and rights-of-way to construct, reconstruct, widen, extend, and maintain streets, alleys, and roadways of every nature including, without limitation, bridges, tunnels, overpasses, underpasses, interchanges, entrance plazas, approaches, access roads, and any other work of whatever nature incidental thereto; and (2) Sites and rights-of-way to construct, reconstruct, widen, extend, and maintain and operate off-street parking facilities, sometimes collectively referred to in this chapter as "street and parking projects."
