Text
(a)Drug enforcement funds shall be used only for direct expenses associated with the investigation of the criminal drug laws of this state, including without limitation:
(1)The purchase of evidence;
(2)The payment of informants;
(3)The relocation or security of witnesses, or both;
(4)Emergency supply purchases; and (5) Emergency travel expenses.
(b)Drug enforcement funds shall not be used for:
(1)Equipment purchases or leasing, salaries or wages, professional services, training, or any other purpose not directly related to a criminal drug investigation; or (2) Administrative costs associated with the sheriff's office.
