Text

(a)In all cities and towns where a board of public utilities is created under this subchapter, there shall be held at the next special election date under § 7-11-105 before the expiration of the term of office of any member of the board of public utilities, an election for the purpose of electing a member of the board to succeed the outgoing member.
(b)The members of the board so elected at such elections shall serve as members thereof for a period of five (5) years or until their successors are elected and qualified in the manner herein provided.
(c)(1) Elections shall be held under the authority of the county board of election commissioners as herein provided for in the election of members of the board in the first instance, and the county board of election commissioners shall provide
