Text

A rural development authority shall constitute a public body corporate and politic, exercising public and essential government functions and having all the powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of this chapter, including without limitation the following powers in addition to others granted in this chapter:

(1)To do all of the following:
(A)Sue and be sued;
(B)Have a seal and alter it at pleasure;
(C)Have perpetual succession;
(D)Make and execute contracts and other instruments necessary or convenient to the exercise of the powers of the authority; and (E) Amend and repeal rules and regulations, from time to time, not inconsistent with this chapter to carry into effect the powers and purposes of the authority;
