Text
(a)The county judge may appoint such employees as he or she may deem necessary for the county planning board's work, whose appointment, promotion, demotion, or removal shall be subject to the same provisions of the law as govern other employees of the county. In the manner provided by law, the county may contract for services necessary to carry out the functions of the board.
(b)The county may receive and spend funds from federal, state, county, municipal, and other public and private sources for planning activities and may contract with respect thereto. All board expenditures shall be within the amounts appropriated by the county quorum court.
(c)Members of the board established pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter shall be entitled to receive such compensation, if any, for at
