(a)There is created the County Treasurer's Continuing Education Board, which shall be composed of the following members:
(1)Eight (8) members of the Arkansas County Treasurers' Association, designated by the Arkansas County Treasurers' Association;
(2)One (1) member designated by the Association of Arkansas Counties; and (3) The Auditor of State or a person designated by the Auditor of State.
(b)(1) It shall be the responsibility of the board to establish a continuing education program for county treasurers of the various counties in the state. This program shall be designed to better equip persons elected to serve as county treasurers to carry out their official responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
