Text

(a)The Historic Arkansas Museum Commission is established and shall have the following powers:
(1)To have charge of the work of restoring the old Arkansas Territorial Capitol and the other historic buildings on the land;
(2)To furnish the buildings with furniture appropriate to the period when they were occupied;
(3)To improve the appearance of the grounds surrounding them;
(4)To maintain a historic center to be known as the "Historic Arkansas Museum"; and (5) To secure any additional funds and contributions of labor and material that they may be able to obtain for the project from any United States Government agency and from private subscriptions to assist in defraying the cost of restoration and to disburse in the restoration all the funds so received.
