Text

(a)(1) The Division of Law Enforcement Standards and Training may make additional salary payments from available funds to employees of the division who have attained law enforcement certification above the basic certificate level, as defined by the division.
(2)The award of an additional salary payment under this section is contingent upon the:
(A)Existence of sufficient funding independent of funding specifically set aside for other programs within the division; and (B) Discretion of the Director of the Division of Law Enforcement Standards and Training in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Public Safety.
(b)(1) Eligible employees of the division may be paid up to the following annual amounts for the respective certifications:
(A)General certificate - three hundred
