Text

(a)The Department of Human Services shall conduct a thorough investigation of all suspected adult maltreatment or long-term care facility resident maltreatment in accordance with this subchapter.
(b)(1) (A) The investigation shall be completed and an investigative determination entered within:
(i)Ninety (90) days for an allegation of exploitation; or (ii) Sixty (60) days for any other type of adult maltreatment allegation.
(B)The department may extend an investigation for up to an additional forty-five (45) days if the department is unable to complete the investigation or written investigative report due to untimely or uncooperative records, interviews, or information being provided by a source necessary for the investigation.
(2)The investigation shall be conducted by an examination
