(a)Whenever an extended benefit period is to become effective in this state as a result of a state "on" indicator or an extended benefit period is to be terminated in this state as a result of a state "off" indicator, the Director of the Division of Workforce Services shall have published an appropriate notice in newspapers of general circulation in the state.
(b)Whenever during a period when emergency unemployment compensation benefits are being paid under the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Act of 1991 or under any subsequent extension or reenactment thereof, the state "on" indicator, as defined in § 11-10-534 , triggers on a period of extended benefits, the Governor may elect not to implement the applicable state statutory provisions relative to unemployment compensation, includin
