§ 9-17-9 — State Oil and Gas Supervisor

The State Geologist shall be, ex officio, the State Oil and Gas Supervisor and shall perform all of the duties of and is hereby vested with all the powers imposed upon and vested in the State Oil and Gas Supervisor under and by the terms and provisions of this article. The State Oil and Gas Supervisor shall be charged with the duty of enforcing this article and all rules, regulations and orders promulgated by the board. The State Oil and Gas Supervisor shall be, ex officio, secretary of the board and shall keep all minutes and records of the board. He shall, as secretary, give bond in such sum as the board may direct with corporate surety to be approved by the board, conditioned that he will well and truly account for any funds coming into his hands.
