§ 8-30-3 — Prohibited Actions

Alabama·Title 8 Commercial Law and Consumer Protection·Ch. 30 Burial Services, Merchandise, and Property

It shall be unlawful for any cemetery:

(1)To sell or offer to sell any cemetery property, burial lot, burial rights, burial services, or burial merchandise by means of any oral or written untrue statement of a material fact or any omission of a material fact.
(2)In connection with the offer, sale, or purchase of any cemetery property, burial lot, burial rights, burial services, or burial merchandise, directly or indirectly: a. To employ any device, scheme, or artifice to defraud. b. To engage in any transaction, act, practice, or course of business which operates or would operate as a fraud or deceit upon the purchaser or seller.
(3)To sell or offer to sell any cemetery property, burial lot, burial rights, burial services, or burial merchandise by means of any oral or written contract a
