Text

(a)In Calhoun County, except as provided in subsection (b) the fee for issuance of a permit to carry a pistol in a vehicle or concealed on or about the person as provided in Section 13A-11-75, shall be twenty dollars ($20), which shall be collected by the sheriff of the county. Thirty-seven and one-half percent of the fee shall be credited to a special fund or account established by the sheriff to be known as the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Fund to be used exclusively by the sheriff, at the discretion of the sheriff, for law enforcement purposes including any expenses reasonably related to the administration and operation of the sheriff’s office.
