(a)This section shall apply only to Calhoun County.
(b)In order to establish effective E 911 service in Calhoun County, it is necessary for various streets and roads to be renamed and for new street and road signs to be purchased and erected such that those providing emergency services may be able to quickly identify and find the location where emergency services are required. Funds to provide new street and road signs are not available and have not been provided for by other legislation. Without these funds the establishment of an effective E 911 service in the communications districts in Calhoun County will not be possible. This section is to provide for this local need that exists in Calhoun County such that an effective E 911 service may be established in the communications districts
