Text

(a)(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the Calhoun County Commission shall pay each member of the board of registrars additional compensation in the amount of fifteen dollars ($15) per day for each day’s attendance upon business of the board, on days the board is authorized to meet and conduct business, to be paid out of the county general fund. Such amount shall be in addition to any and all other amounts provided for by law.
(2)The county commission, by resolution, may increase the additional compensation authorized in subdivision (1).
(b)If implementation of subsection (a) increases the compensation of an incumbent office holder and is prohibited by the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, or otherwise by law, the increase shall be paid as an expense allowance
