Text

(a)Effective October 1, 2023, the Coroner of Butler County shall receive a salary in the amount of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) per month to be paid in monthly installments from the county general fund. The salary provided in this section shall be the only compensation of the coroner and shall be in lieu of all other compensation, salary, expenses, or fees of the coroner except as expressly provided in this section. The coroner shall waive any other compensation, expenses, or fees in order to receive the salary provided by this section.
(b)In addition to the salary provided in subsection (a), the Butler County Commission may pay expenses of the coroner related to attending continuing education relating to the performance of the duties of the coroner. In addition, the Butler
