Text
(a)An employee shall be entitled to military service leave and reinstatement as provided in this section. An employee who enters military service for the United States government, whether drafted, activated, or enlisted, upon application to the director, shall be granted a leave of absence from the classified service for the duration of the military service not to exceed four years unless the military service is extended by federal act or presidential decree. During the leave of absence, no loss of rights or status shall occur, and the employee shall be given credit for the time spent in the military service as actual service rendered in the classified service as though his or her employment had not been interrupted.
