Text

For the purposes of this part, the following words shall have the following meanings:

(1)APPOINTING AUTHORITY. The mayor, the city council, the city manager, or any employee of the city duly authorized to make appointments to the regular service by virtue of his or her supervisory capacity.
(2)CERTIFICATION. A submission of names of eligibles from a reemployment list, a promotion list, or an eligible register to an appointing authority for the purpose of filling a position in the classified service.
(3)CITY. The City of Alabaster, Shelby County, Alabama.
(4)CITY MANAGER. The person appointed pursuant to Section 11–43–20, as the administrative head of the municipal government.
