Text

(a)(1) In addition to any court costs now authorized in the circuit, district, and juvenile courts of Shelby County, there shall be assessed and collected an additional court cost of twenty dollars ($20) in all civil and criminal cases except small claims, traffic cases, and protection form abuse cases pursuant to Chapter 5 of Title 30.
(2)In addition to any court costs now authorized in the circuit and district courts of Shelby County, there shall be assessed and collected an additional court cost of five dollars ($5) in all traffic cases.
(b)The additional court costs collected pursuant to subsection (a) shall be distributed as follows:
(1)Forty-five percent to the district attorney to be used for any legitimate law enforcement purpose.
(2)Forty-five percent to the Community Correcti
