Text
The compensation for the members of the board shall be set by the Shelby County Commission. The initial rate of compensation for each board member shall be seventy-five dollars ($75) per day on which the board is in session. This compensation is made up of an amount due from the State of Alabama and any additional amounts due from the Shelby County Commission. The portion paid by the Shelby County Commission shall be paid out of the county general fund. The Shelby County Commission may adjust its portion of compensation of the board from time to time during the budget review process for the county general fund.
