In addition to all other conditions of release of a defendant pending trial as now or hereafter provided by law or rule of court, a judicial officer may, as a condition of release, require the prisoner to report to the Shelby County Work Release Commission on a periodic basis pending adjudication and require the defendant to pay the Shelby County Work Release Commission a reasonable supervision fee of not less than twenty dollars ($20) per month to cover the cost of supervision. Any preadjudication amounts which have been ordered by the court to be paid by the defendant may be paid to the commission on a periodic basis as ordered by the court and shall be paid by the commission to the proper recipient.
