Text

The Shelby County Commission and any municipality maintaining a jail or detention facility as herein provided for shall have powers by ordinance or resolution to develop, adopt, promulgate, and enforce all necessary rules, regulations, and procedures governing and providing for the assessment and collection of costs and charges for the housing, maintenance, medical costs, and care for the convicted defendants and persons responsible for the assessment for the payment of the charges, as herein provided for and may otherwise do all things reasonable and necessary for the implementation and enforcement of this subpart.
