Text

(a)The board shall have the power to hire clerical assistance and engage legal counsel of its own choice as may be necessary to adequately perform its functions.
(b)For regular meetings of the board, each member shall receive one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) per day, not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) per month, plus mileage as is provided by law to the county commission, and the chair of the board to receive one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per day, not to exceed six hundred dollars ($600) per month, plus mileage as is provided by law to the county commission.
