Text

(a)There is hereby created the Shelby County Law Enforcement Personnel Board which shall be composed of five members appointed by members representing Shelby County, or any portion thereof, as herein provided. The appointments shall be made as follows:
(1)The Shelby County Commission shall name one member.
(2)The Shelby County Legislative Delegation shall jointly name two members.
(3)The Sheriff of Shelby County shall name one member.
(4)The employees of the Sheriff’s Department shall name one member.
(b)If one or more municipalities elect to come under this subpart then the city or cities jointly shall name one of the members now herein allocated to the Shelby County Legislative Delegation and the delegation then will be limited to naming one member. Provided, however, in the event
