Text

The legislative intent and purpose of this part is to provide a structure for the business relations between a wholesaler and a supplier of wine in Shelby County. Regulation in this area within the county is considered necessary for the following reasons:

(1)To maintain stability and healthy competition in the wine industry in Shelby County.
(2)To provide and maintain a sound, stable, and viable 3–tier system of distribution of wine to the public in Shelby County.
(3)To promote the public health, safety, and welfare.
(4)To preserve and expand jobs in Shelby County in the wine industry.
