(a)This section is adopted partially pursuant to Amendment 707 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section 58–3.00 of the Constitution of 2022.
(b)The purpose of this section is to protect and to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Shelby County by authorizing the Shelby County Commission to adopt ordinances or resolutions, and to amend and enforce the same, to limit and restrict noise levels and to authorize the prohibition, regulation, limitation, and control of public nuisances caused by noise levels as declared or determined to be appropriate by the Shelby County Commission to minimize the exposure of the citizens of Shelby County to the physiological and psychological dangers of excess noise and to protect, pro-mote, and preserve the p
